Renovated Bathroom

While on vacation visiting family, I was reminded that I had promised pictures of our renovated bathroom from a few posts ago. I'm sorry these are so late, but here they are:

I'm really happy how it turned out. It was so much fun to help pick out the paint and new fixtures for the room. My favourite piece is probably the mirror. I really wish I had before pictures to show, but trust me, it is a huge difference from what it looked like before!

Father's Day

Today was Father's Day, and I had the pleasure of spending the entire day with my dad, and part of it with his dad (my Opa), too! I was able to grab a quick picture of the two of them together. Thanks for being awesome! :)

Vacation

What a weekend! Last night I had a great time celebrating my friends Taylor and Josh at their Stag and Doe. I was able to go early, help set up, run some games, and have a great time. They were able to make a great amount of money and everyone there loved the games! I went home quite late that night, knowing I had to wake up early the next day...

Today started at 5:15 am, springing (okay, rolling...) out of bed to do one last check around the house and through my packing. Then Paul came by to drive me to the bus to the airport. I won't go through the details of the ride, going through customs and the actual flight, but quite a few hours later I landed in Winnipeg and met up with my parents and my dad's old high school friend. We spent the rest of the day walking around the town, listening in on a jazz festival and eating some delicious Japanese cuisine for dinner. Needless to say, I'm extremely tired. I got nowhere near the ideal amount of sleep last night and was unable to fall asleep on the bus, airport or plane. So now, I will go and get some.

Tennis

Today I got a phone call from Paul, telling me he was at some tennis courts close by my home practising his serve. I quickly hopped on my bike and went over to the courts to take some pictures of him. It was a perfect day too, because it was light and overcast, so there wouldn't be any harsh shadows, AND Paul wore a logo-free shirt! I'm not very good at getting "action shots," but I got some that will hopefully make their way into my portfolio. Thank again, Paul!

A Day on the Boat

Today, we were able to head down to the harbour and spend some time on the boat. We went to do some work and clean the wood finish. We are trying to do all the work we can while we can't take the boat out of the harbour.  The shroud replacement will be here on tuesday and I can't wait until the mast and sails are finally up and we are able to have the first sail. Emma is going to come for a visit next weekend too!

When we got to the harbour, we saw that there were 3 families of geese by the water. My mom and I were able to sit and watch them as they all climbed down the rocks and got into the water for a quick swim. I was able to catch some pictures of each family as they swam past. The first family is one we saw a few days ago with ten goslings. The second has only four, but they are the smallest and very cute! The last one had five, which seemed to be the oldest of the babies.

We also took the dogs to train them to the boat. Slowly but surely they are going to get their "sea legs." So far, Fonzie likes to explore the boat while Josie prefers to cuddle.

My dad, hard at work cleaning the wood!

And my mom, relaxing with Josie.
