This weekend was another good one. Friday night consisted of a movie, lots of junk food and laughs with my friends Siobhan, Emily and Vanessa. We are all looking for a house to rent for fourth year, and I couldn't be happier (especially considering my most recent living situation).
For Saturday, I wanted to make plans to have a snowy-forest themed photo shoot with some friends, but since they were mostly home or busy, I headed out to take some pictures for my photo project, but also some self-portraits. Self-portraiture is very difficult. Last year, for Christmas, one of the only things on my wish list was the remote for my camera. I've been using it on and off, but after last weekend where I surprised myself with actually focused, iStock quality pictures, I decided to give it another try. I was pleasantly surprised with the results! I came home and warmed up by doing laundry and some readings for class. I also baked delicous chocolate chip cookies while watching a movie on the TV.
On Sunday, Siobhan and I went to the meeting house and were able to sign up for a home church right by Sheridan that fits into both our schedules. I'm so excited to go! After church, I went to Living Arts and strolled around their nature walk, taking more photos for my project. I came across a couple who were standing very still and holding their hands out with birdseed. I was able to snap a few quick shots for them. Since I had just missed the bus, I ended up walking home. It was a fair distance but the constant walking motion and sun warmed me up.
Monday was another lazy day. I finished up some laundry and did more homework. At 3, I headed over to the campus pub for dinner with some friends. A great end to a great couple of days!
