Today, I was very excited to go to Spirit Rock and take pictures with three of my good friends. When I headed upstairs to get ready, the phone rang. It was the lady I had talked to the week before about working for the 2011 census. Because someone had gotten sick recently, they needed a quick replacement.
It was a very difficult moment for me, because I was really looking forward to going out for a photo-adventure, but I was also excited to get a job.
I am glad with my decision to take the job. Even though I missed out on one trip, I'm sure there will be lots more this summer, and I can't wait for all of them :)

Goats!
While at my friend's house for a waffle party over the Easter weekend, I was able to spend some time with her family's three pregnant goats — Junie, Bella and Peaches. They are all so cute! Bella (the brown and white one) kept following me around and was almost posing for the camera! There were many false-labour-alarms for poor Junie, the most pregnant of them all. I wasn't able to get a good picture of her to show her size, but she is definitely ready to have those babies. My mom and I are anxiously awaiting the call that the baby goats have arrived so we can go out and see them. While there were no babies last week, I was still able to get some good shots of the goats.

Emma and Josie
This weekend I was able to use Emma as a model before she leaves for another term of university. I'm going to miss her so much! Hopefully we will be able to visit often :)

Easter Weekend
This Easter was spent it watching movies, eating turkey, going to church, having a waffle party, playing games, taking tons of pictures (which I will blog about soon), playing with goats, and just plain enjoying each other's company. All in all, it was so much fun!
Here are some of our family pictures we took:
Hope you all had great weekends too!

Spring?
I have been home for over a week now, and I can say that I am not impressed with the weather at all.
Since I am moving back into the same townhouse I lived in for these past 8 months, I decided it would be beneficial to leave most of my wintery items in storage since I wouldn't be needing them over the summer. Some of those wintery items were my winter coat and boots, which I would really like to have with me right now. Yes, in April.
I was so excited to come home to a nice, warm springy environment, but I guess I will have to wait for that. In many ways, the weather does reflect how I've been feeling lately, as being on the hunt for a good job in this small area is not the easiest thing to do. Although, I do have faith that everything will work out eventually!
On the weekend, my sister, dad and I took the dogs for a walk, and I brought my camera to take pictures of some of the buds springing up around our house. Although it was freezing and the walk was cut short because if it, the artifacts of the spring and warm weather that is to come made it all worth it. Looking back on pictures, I completely forget how cold it was. :)

This is the end.
Today, I am no longer a university student. It is my very first day of summer break, and I couldn't be happier! Last night I completed my two exams after a very long day and I am so excited to have them done. I came home to an empty house because both of my roommates decided to leave after their first exams, and started packing. It's a very bittersweet moment for me, because I will be living in the same house next year, but I won't have the same roommates I've had for first and second year, which really sucks. I am up bright and early today to get freshened up and pack some more. I am also going to see my friend Siobhan before I leave, which I'm very excited to do, because although we only live 30 minutes away from each other during the summer, business and jobs set in so it can't happen often.
I made a sad attempt to sleep in today after staying up way too late packing and rearranging furniture in my room. Unfortunately, the garbage truck comes by extremely early on Tuesdays and I can never seem to ignore it. It was also very bright in my room, so now I am up. Now that it's officially my "summer," I hope to be able to blog a lot more than I did during these last 8 months. I have no idea how to end this post or what else to say, so I am going to get ready for the day!

Almost Done!
I really can't believe I'm almost done my second year of university! It feels like it went by way too fast! My last day of class was last Friday, April first, and I couldn't be happier that it's over. I had so much to do the last few weeks of class that I barely had any time to relax. This weekend, Emma came up to visit and we had a very fun, girly weekend that included watching movies, painting our nails, shopping, face masks, making food, laughing, and consuming way too many calories—we actually calculated the total calorie count which I am too embarrassed to share. It was so much fun and the perfect break from school work.
Now, it's my time to study. I only have two exams this term, and they are both next monday, one is from 4-6 and the other is 8-10. I'm excited to get them both done early on, but I'm nervous because I don't like studying for two exams at the same time.
I can't wait to be home to start organizing all of my completed projects which I will finally be able to share with you. I have some ones that I'm really excited about and some that are just okay, but that is expected! I'm not sure how summer jobs will play out for me, but if I'm not able to find a job, then I will devote my time and efforts to expanding my iStock portfolio, which I am actually very excited to do. I have a list of lots of photoshoots I want to do this summer and can't wait to get started on them!
